In a settlement during the Chola's period, there lived a man called Prasad. He was 22 years old; he
was an honest and hardworking man. He lived in a rented house and was well versed with the
Vedas and so he wanted to be a member of Sabha. Prasad decided to contest for election. On the
other hand, his 35-year-old friend, Priyam, also wanted to stand for election. He had his own
home and had been taking care of the tank committee monitoring water supplies etc until last year
but this time he wanted to contest for another committee. Who among them is eligible to stand for
election?

Answer:

Priyam is elegible to contest for the elections as he has some experience in this field and as he has his own house but on the other hand Prasad didn't even had his own house. In such case , the talent and the urge of the people to contest elections doesn't matter.

Priyam is an eligible candidate partly because the required age is 25 and also having a background in a committee is a key point.
