(a) Siya says she has sold three more than twice the number of tickets sold by Timmy. Together
they have sold 39 tickets.
(b) If 5 is subtracted from a number and the difference is multiplied by 6, the result is 6 more than
two times the number.
(C) Parul is 15 years younger than his brother Rahul. After 5 years, she will be half his brother's age.
me lar (d) The total bill of three pizzas and 5 pieces of garlic bread is 1406. The cost of a pizza is 25

Q3a) Number of tickets sold by timmy=X

Number of tickets sold by Siya = 2X + 3

Total tickets sold = 39

2X+3 + X = 39

3X=36

X=12

b) Number = X

6(X-5)=2X + 6

6X-30=2X+6

4X=36

X=9

c) Rahul's age = X

Parul's age = X - 15

After 5 years-

X+5=(X-15+5) × 2

X+5=2X-20

X=25

d)Price of Garlic bread = X

Price of Pizza= 2X + 25

{3 × (2X + 25) } + (5 × X) = 1406

6X+75 + 5X=1406

11X=1406-75

X=1331/11

X=121

In all the questions, for example in (D) to find the price of pizza just put the value of X in the equation (2X+25) and similarly in all other questions. Mark as brainliest if it was helpful.
