We have to find the coordinate of the centre of a circle if AB is diameter of the circle where A is (2, 7) and B is (4, 5).

solution : we know, centre is the midpoint of the diameter of a circle.

so midpoint of AB must be the centre of the circle.

using midpoint section formula,

midpoint of two points (x₁ , y₁) and (x₂ , y₂) is given by, [(x₁ + x₂)/2 , (y₁ + y₂)/2 ]

so the centre of the circle is [(2 + 4)/2 , (7 + 5)/2 ]

so the centre of the circle is [(2 + 4)/2 , (7 + 5)/2 ]= (3, 6)
