Given, a linear equation 2x + 3y = 6

Clearly, it's an equation of a line.

Now, we have to find the point where it will cut the y- axis.

It means, the abscissa or the x coordinate will be equal to 0.

Substituting x= 0, we get,

=> 2×0 + 3y = 6

=> 0+3y = 6

=> 3y = 6

=> y = 6/3

=>y = 2

Hence, it will cut the y - axis at (0,2)
