Answer:

\LARGE\underline{\underline{\bf{AnsweR \: : - }}}

let x be the first even nuber then x +2 be the second consecutive even number.

According to the question,

=> x + ( x +2) = 86

=> 2x + 2 =86

=> 2x = 84

=> x = 84 /2

=> x = 42

Hence,

  • First answer = 42
  • Second number x+2 = 42 +2 = 44.

Answer:-

  • First answer =  x = 42
  • Second answer =  (x+1) = 42+2=44

Explanation :-

Let the two consecutive even numbers be x and (x  + 2) \\  = x + (x + 2) = 86 \ <\  = x + x + 2 = 86 \\  = 2x + 2 = 86 \\ = x = 86 - 2 \\ = 2x = 84 \\ = x =   \frac{84}{2}  \\  = x = 42

The largest number is (x + 1) = 42 + 2 = 44

  • First answer = x = 42
  • Second answer =  (x+1) =42+2=44
