Step-by-step explanation:

So, Let's assume that the numbers are X and Y respectively.

As per the first equation, the sum of the numbers is 35. hence , the equation:

X + Y = 35 Equation (1)

As per the second part of the question, the differnce of the numbers is 13. hence, the equation:

X - Y = 13 Equation (2)

Adding Equation (1) and (2),

X + Y (+) X - Y = 35 (+) 13

2X = 48

X= 24

Putting the value of X in any of the equation,

X - Y = 13

24 - Y = 13

Y = 24 - 13

Y = 11

Hence, the numbers are 24 and 11 respectively.

All the best.

HEY MATE

Let one number be x and other number be y.

According to first condition,

x+y=35............. (1)

According to second condition,

x-y=13.............. (2)

Adding equations (1) & (2),

2x=48

x=24

Substituting x=24 in equation (1),

x+y=35

24+y=35

y=35-24

y=11

ANSWER:

(x,y)=(24,11) is the solution for the given simultaneous equation.
