Nylon – This fiber is derived from wood pulp and is elastic, lustrous and easily washable. It is used in making ropes, fishing nets and seat belts.   

Polyester – Derived from coal and petroleum, this fiber is wrinkle-free and easily washable. It is used in making jackets, raincoats and ropes.
