What do you understand by the terms 'asteroids' and 'meteoroids'?​

Asteriods are very small planets or planetoids that are found majnly in a belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Each asteriod has its own orbit. Ceres is the largest asteriod discovered till now.

Meteors are relatively small solid bodies revolving round the sun.Sometimes they enter earths atmosphere from outer space.Due to this they get intensly heated up due to friction resulting from their rapid motion.
