You shouldn’t use exercise to control your life. There are literally limitless was in which to lift weights and exercise.
You should first define your personal goals.
Then find a trainer or teach yourself how to achieve those goals through a system you ENJOY. The most optimal plan in the world isn’t optimal if you don’t do it. Adherence is key when on an exercise regiment. If you don’t do it, it won’t work. You need to learn wha you like, and want you don’t like, then stick to what you like.
Each day of exercis should be fun, but also goal based. Set small goals for each work out and then achieve them.
There is not a one-size-fits-all workout program. There are programs that are better suited for progress than others, but that progress will only be reached if people DO THE WORK. If you hate your programming, you won’t do it. If you have a plan that at face value is not “great” but you enjoy it, and do the work, then that is the plan you want to stick with.
