INDIRECT SPEECH :-

He asked Ramesh where he was going.

\star \: \: \underline{\underline{\mathsf{\purple{\: RELATED \:  \: INFORMATION \:}}}}

In the Direct Speech of the given sentence,

The Reported Clause is a Interrogative Sentence with Wh questioning word and the Reporting Clause is in Past Tense.

So, in the Indirect Speech ,

The Reported Clause will be joined with the Reporting Clause by using the given questioning word Where .

As the Reported Clause in the Direct Speech is in Past Tense , in Indirect Speech we have to change the form of Tense.

As per the rule of Speech / Narration,

If the Reported Clause is in Interrogative Sentence in Direct Speech, then in Indirect Speech the Question Mark (?) is replaced by Full Stop (.) .
