a) The opossum is a marsupial of the order Didelphimorphia endemic to the Americas. The largest order of marsupial in the western hemisphere, it comprises 110+ species in 19 genera. In the United States and Canada , the only species found is the Virginia opossum .
b) Koalas are related to the wombats . They are often called koala bears , because a koala looks like a small bear or teddy bear . However it is not a bear , it is quite a different type of animal .
