Hi
3 - x ( 4 + 7x )
= 3 - 4x - 7x²
= - 7x² - 4x + 3
Splitting the middle term ,
= - 7x² - 7x + 3x + 3
= -7x ( x + 1 ) + 3 ( x + 1 )
= ( x + 1 )( -7x + 3 )
Or
= ( x + 1 ) ( 3 - 7x )
I hope this helps you.
