Let age of b 3 years ago -x

Present age of a- 2x+3

Present age of b- X+3

7 years after ..

Age of a - 2x+7

Age of b-x+7

2x+7 + x+7=83

3x+14=83

3x=83-

3x=66

x=66/3

x=22

Therefore age of b - 22+3=25

age of a-2*22+3=44+3=47
