Given: length = 120 m

Breadth = 50 m

Area of rectangle = length× breadth

Area = 120×50

Area= 6000 m²

So Son and daughter each will get 3000 m² of land

In rectangle opposite sides are equal

So,

Let Length of diagonal be x

x² = 120² + 50²

x²= 14400+2500

x²= 16900

x= √16900

x= 130 m is length of diagonal of rectangular land

Perimeter of rectangle = 2× length + 2× breadth

Perimeter = 2×120+2×50

Perimeter = 240+100

Perimeter = 340 m

  1. Length of the diagonal = 130 m
  2. Perimeter of rectangle = 340m
  3. 3000m² is the area of land that each son and daughter will receive
  4. Total area is 6000m²
