Mass (solute) = 30 gram

Mass (solvent) = 240 gram

Mass (solution) = Mass (solute) + Mass (solvent)

= 30 gram + 240 gram

= 270 gram

∴ Mass % (solution) = [ Mass (solute)/Mass (solvent)] × 100

= [30/240] × 100

= 12.5%
