30. The angles of depression of the top and the bottom of a 8 m tall building from bei
of a multi-storeyed building are 30 and 45° respectively. Find the height of the
storeyed building and the distance between the two buildings, correct to two decim
places.​

the height and distance are equal which is equal to 18.93m

In right triangle ABE,

tan45°=h/x

1=h/x

h=x

In right triangle ACD,

tan30°= h-8/x

1/√3=h-8/x

x=√3(h-8)

x=√3x-8√3

x=8√3 / √3-1

x=18.93

h=x=18.93m
