suspended by a string of length 5 m. The centre
of gravity of the block is found to rise a vertical
distance of 0.2 m. What is the speed of the bullet
after it emerges from the block?

Answer:

50m/s

Given:

M1=10g=10×10-3kg

U1=500m/s

M2=2kg

length 5m

s

distance(s)=0.2

=m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2

=10×10-3kg × 500m/s /10×10-3 + 2g

=10×500 /100

=50/1

=50 m/s
