  • Always remember that gravitational force is a conservative force and the work done against gravitational force depends on the position of the object with respect to the reference.

  • So, the work done doesn't depend on the path taken by the object.

In this attached figure, we can see that the initial and final position are A and B , since the initial and final states for the particle is same for all the three paths (I , II , III) , we can say that :

Work done along all the paths are same.
