32. Given that log 2 to the base 10 = x and log 3 to the base 10 = y then the value of log 60 to the base 10

Given that,

→ log(2) = x

→ log(3) = y

We have to find,

log(60)

We have to use the concept,

"log(ab) = log(a) + log(b)"

Now,

log(60)

=> log(6 • 10)

=> log(6) + log(10)

=> log(2 • 3) + 1 [log(10) = 1]

=> log(2) + log(3) + 1

=> x + y + 1

Hence, x + y + 1 is the answer.
