If a transversal intersects two lines such that a pair of corresponding angles is equal, then the two lines ate parallel to each other. Theorem 4: If a transversal intersects two parallel lines, then each pair of interior angles on the same side of the transversal is supplementary.

To prove :

Angle 8+angle 1=180°

Angle 5+angle 4=180°

Line segment dividing them is 1 so,

8+1=180(linear pair)

Next 5+4=180(linear pair)

Thereby these both are 180°

So hence it is proved..
