Probability distribution :  1 / 4.

Mean of distribution     : 1 / 2.

Given

A group of rich persons = 20   -----> P ( A )

A group of poor persons = 5   -----> P ( B )

To find the probability distribution for poor persons and mean of the distribution.

Probability distribution :

Probability distribution, P ( x ) = P ( B ) / P ( A )

                                                 = 5 / 20

                                                 = 1 / 4.

Mean of distribution :

Mean of distribution = n × P ( x )

where, n = number of types of persons ( Rich person and Poor person )

            n = 2.

Mean of distribution = 2 × ( 1 / 4 )

                                  = 2 / 4

                                  = 1 / 2.
