f_{1}=10, f_{2}=8.

Solution:

The table attached below.

Let A be the assumed mean.

\Sigma f_{i}=50, \sum f_{i} u_{i}=2 f_{2}+24

$\bar{x}=132 and height of the interval = 40

$$\sum f_{i}=50$$

\Rightarrow\ f_{1}+f_{2}+32=50$

\Rightarrow\ f_{1}+f_{2}=18 – – – – (1)

$\bar{x}=A+\frac{\sum f_{i} u_{i}}{\sum f_{i}} \times h$

$132=100+\frac{24+2 f_{2}}{50} \times 40$

$132=100+\frac{4\left(2 f_{2}+24\right)}{5}$

$132=\frac{500+8 f_{2}+96}{5}$

Do cross multiplication.

132 \times 5=8 f_{2}+596

$8 f_{2}=64$

f_{2}=8

Substitute this value in equation (1)

f_{1}+8=18

f_{1}=10

Hence f_{1}=10, f_{2}=8.
