complete Question :- Shyamsundar has a field of length 50 m and breadth 100 m. He grows rice. His field produces 6 kg rice in 100 sq metre. He daily takes 3 rounds of the field to take care of crops in the morning. His grandson Raju wants to fence the field with barbed wire. The cost of fencing per metre is Rs. 25 .

He asks his grandfather to give him money for the fencing. Grandfather promises him to give money after selling the crop.

ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS :-

A) Find the area of Sundar's field .

1) 500 msq.

2) 1500 msq.

3) 15000 m sq.

4) 5000 m sq.

B) What is the total distance covered by Sundar in the morning ?

1) 900m

2) 1500 m

3) 1000m

4) 250m

C) Find the cost of fencing the field.

1) Rs12000

2) Rs2500

3) Rs12500

4) Rs7500

Solution :-

→ Area of Sundar's field = Length * Breadth = 50 * 100 = 5000 (Option 4) (Ans.A)

now,

→ Perimeter of the field = 2(Length + Breadth) = 2(50 + 100) = 2 * 150 = 300 m.

then,

→ The total distance covered by Sundar in the morning = 3 * Perimeter = 300 * 3 = 900 m. (Option 1) (Ans.B)

therefore,

→ Total cost of fencing = Rate * Perimeter = 25 * 300 = Rs.7500 (Option 4) (Ans.C) .
