\huge\red{Solution:-}

  • Difference between SI and CI for 2 years is :-
  • p \: ( { \frac{r}{100} })^{2}
  • Difference between SI and CI for for 3 years is:-
  • p( \:  { \frac{r}{100} })^{2} (3 +  \frac{r}{100} )

  = \frac{difference \: between \: si \: and \: ci \: for \: 3 \: years}{difference \: between \: si \: and \: ci \: for \: 2  \: years }

  = \frac{p( \frac{r}{100} ) {}^{2} (3 +  \frac{r}{100} )}{p( \frac{r}{100} ) {}^{2} }

 = (3 +  \frac{r}{100} )

 (3 +  \frac{r}{100} ) =  \frac{31}{10}

\frac{300 + r}{100}  =  \frac{31}{10}

 10(300 + r) = 31 \times 100

 3000 + 10r = 3100

10r = 3100 - 3000

10r = 100

r =  \frac{100}{10}

r = 10\%
