These are Numbers / Digits

Each Digit Cost 1 $

5  is one digit  is 1 $

25 has two digit 2 & 5  hence 1 + 1 = 2 $

255 has 3 digit  

2  , 5  , 5   hence cost 1 + 1 + 1  = 3 $
