 Given \: x + y = 1

 \implies y = 1 - x \: --(1)

 i) If \: x = 0 \implies y = 1

 ii) If \: x = -1 \implies y = 2

 and \: x + 2y = 3

 \implies 2y = 3-x

 \implies y = \frac{3-x}{2} \: --(2)

 iii) If \: x = 3 \implies y = 0

 iv) If \: x = -1 \implies y = 2

/* Plotting the points on a graph we get two straight lines which are attached above */
