Answer:

A. The different parts involved in a reflex arc are receptors also called as sense organs, sensory nerves, spinal cord, motor nerves, effectors that includes muscles and glands.

  • The Receptors:- These help in sensing the stimulus.
  • Sensory Nerves:- These nerves help in passing the information about the stimulus to the spinal cord.
  • Spinal Cord:- It instructs what response has to be given to the stimulus.
  • Motor Nerves:- These nerves help in passing the information given by the spinal cord about the response to the muscles or glands.
  • Effectors:- These include muscles and glands which help in giving the response to the stimulus.

B. The pathway of a reflex action is known as reflex arc. In this arc, the stimulus is received by the receptors and is passed through the sensory nerves to the spinal cord. The spinal cord receives information and passes a response for the stimulus through the motor nerves to the effectors that are muscles and glands.

The spinal cord actually helps in giving the response to the stimulus where as the brain is given the information about the response and the stimulus after the response is given to the effectors. The brain gets to know about the stimulus after the effectors give the response to the stimulus.

C. The examples of reflex action in daily life includes:-

  • The touching of hot substance.
  • The touching of sharp substance, etc.

Such stimulus can harm the organism and so the reflex arc helps in getting fast response for the stimulus so that the organism does not get hurt from the stimulus.
