Step-by-step explanation:

cost proportional to cube of weight

C1 = W1³

C2 W2³

20 decigram = 2 gram

2 gram cost around 1000

2 gram is divided into 2:3 = 0.8 gram and 1.2 gram and lets say their cost be x and y

1000/x = 2³ / (0.8)³

1000/x = 8 ×1000 / 8×8×8

x = 64 rupees

1000/y = 2³ / (1.2)³

1000/y = 8 × 1000 / 12×12×12

y = 216 rupees

x + y = 64 +216 = 280

loss = 1000 - 280

= 720
