3L = 42 [ Given ]
or, L = 42/3 [ Dividing 3 both sides]
or, L = 14 [ 3 * 14 = 42 ]
The value of L is 14

We will solve it with the transposing method.

We have, 3L=42

We transpose 3 to right hand side. On the LHS 3 is in multiplication with L so on RHS it will divide 42.
