Solution :

Given two expressions are ,

first expression = 3m + 4n,

second expression = 6n + 5m

i ) Subtracting second expression

from first , we get

3m + 4n - ( 6n + 5m )

= 3m + 4n - 6n - 5m

= 3m - 5m + 4n - 6n

= ( 3 - 5 )m + ( 4 - 6 )n

= -2m - 2n

ii ) Subtracting first expression from

second we get,

6n + 5m - ( 3m + 4n )

= 6n + 5m - 3m - 4n

= 5m - 3m + 6n - 4n

= ( 5 - 3 )m + ( 6 - 4 )n

= 2m + 2n
