(x+a)(x+b) = x(x+b) + a(x+b)

x= 3x

a = 1

b = -8

(3x+1)(3x-8) = 3x(3x+(-8))+1(3x+(-8)

= 9x - 24x + 3x - 8

= 9x - 21x - 8 ........(i)

Let's Make eq (i) in Equation.

So,

9x - 21x - 8 = 0

=> 12x - 8 = 0

=> 12x = 8

=> x = 8/12

=> x = 3/2 (or) 1.5
