Step-by-step explanation:

(x+a)(x+b) = x2 + x(a+b) + ab

Let x be equal 3x, a be -2 and b be 7

Therefore using the identity,

(3x + -2)(3x + 7) = (3x)2 + 3x(-2+7) + (-2 * 7)

= 9x2 + 3x*5 + -14 = 9x2+ 15x -14
