3x + 2y = 11

3x = 11 - 2y

x = (11-2y)/3

Substitute in 2nd equation.

2x - 3y = 3

2(11-2y)/3 - 3y = 3

(22-4y)/3 - 3y = 3

(22-4y-9y)/3 = 3

22-13y = 9

22-9 = 13y

13 = 13y

y = 13/13 = 1

x = (11-2y)/3

= (11-2(1))/3

= (11-2)/3

= 9/3

= 3

Therefore, x = 3, y = 1
