3x+2y=12 eq.(1)

x-3y=-7 eq.(2)

x= 3y+7 eq.(3), substitute in (1)

3(3y-7)+2y=12

9y-21+2y=12

11y=33

y=3 substitute in (3)

x=16.

then

substitute y=3 in (1) or (2)

then

x-3(3)=-7

x-9=-7

x=-7+9
