3x - 2y = 15 -------- equation 1

y = 2x - 11 -------- equation 2 putting the value of equations 2 in 1

3x - 2(2x - 11) =15

3x -4x + 22 = 15

-x = 15 - 22

- x = -7

x = 7

putting the value of x in equation 2

y = 2 × 7 - 11

y = 14 - 11

y = 3

x = 7 , y = 3
