equation (2) can be written as

y=30-6x..........(3)

Substitute y=30-6x in equation (1) ,we get,

3x+2(30-6x)=24

3x+60-12x=24

-9x =24-60

-9x= -36

x. =-36/-9

x. = 4

Put x=4 in equation (3) ,we get,

y=30 -(6×4)

y=30-24

y=6

therefore solution is (x,y)= (4,6)
