2 {x}^{2}  + 5x + 2 = 0 \\  \\ 2 {x}^{2}  + 4x + x + 2 = 0 \\  \\ 2x(x + 2) + 1(x + 2) = 0 \\  \\ (2x + 1)(x + 2) = 0 \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 1}{2} ..........x =  - 2

Answer:

 {2x}^{2}  + 5x + 2 = 0

 {2x}^{2}  + 4x + 1x + 2 = 0

2x(x + 2) + 1(x + 2) = 0

(2x + 1)(x + 2) = 0

SO,

x =  \frac{ - 1}{2}  \:  \:  \: and \:  \:  \: x =  - 2
