it depends on the condition, if we take x as odd number than,3x will be odd and the other will be even no. For example- (X=1 ),3×1=3 , 3×1+1=4 & 3×1-1=2

if we take x as even no. than the answer will be just opposite of first condition . For example - (X=2) , 3×2=6 , 3×2 +1=7 , 3×2-1=5 .
