7x - 2y = 1    ------------- (2)

(1) + 2(2) =>

    3x + 4y = 15

(+) 14x - 4y =  2  

     17x        = 17

=> x = 17/17 = 1

so, (2) => 7(1)-2y = 1

          => 7-2y = 1

          => 2y = 7-1 = 6

          =>   y = 6/2

          => y = 3

(x,y) = (1,3)
