(3x+ 4y) (3x+5y )
= 9x^2 + 15xy + 12 xy + 20y^2
= 9x^2 + 27xy + 20y^2

(3x + 4y) (3x + 5y)

What we do first is multiply 3x by the 2 terms of the other bracket and then multiply them by 4y as well.

*2 means power 2 means square the number.

9x*2 + 3x5y + 4y3x + 20y*2

That’s your answer but it’s better if we organize the equation properly by putting the x*2 then y*2 then the number with x then the number with y.

So your final answer is:

9x*2 + 20y*2 + 3x5y + 4y3x

Hope this helps!
