3x + 4y = 5  ---- (1)

7x + 5y = 6  ---- (2)

On solving (1) * 7 & (2) * 3

21x + 28y = 35

21x + 15y = 18

-----------------------

          13y = 17

             y = 17/13.

Substitute y = 17/13 in (1), we get

3x + 4(17/13) = 5

3x + 68/13 = 5

3x = 5 - 68/13

3x = 65-68/13

3x = -3/13

x = -1/13.

Hope this helps!
