3x - 5y = 16 .... (1)

2x - 9y = 5 .......(2)

By Elimination Method :

On Multiplying by 2 and 3 in equation (1) and (2) respectively :

6x - 10y = 32

6x -27y = 15

On subtracting :

17y = 17

=> y = 1

On putting the value of y in equation (1) :

3x - 5(1) = 16

=> 3x = 16 + 5

=> 3x = 21

=> x = 7

So, the required values of x = 7 and y = 1
