3x - 5y -19 =0 (1)
-7 + 3y +1 =0 (2)

y = 7-1/3
y = 2
_____

put val. of y in eq 1

3x - 5(y) -19=0
3x - 5(2) -19 =0
3x - 10 - 19= 0
x = 19+10/3
× = 29/3
______

so val.of y =2 and x=29/3

"x = - 2.116; y = - 5.07 are the required values.

Solution:

3 x-5 y-19=0 \rightarrow(1)

-7 x+3 y+1=0 \rightarrow(2)

(1)\times 7 \Rightarrow 21x - 35y = 133

(2)\times 3 \Rightarrow-21x + 9y = -3

On solving, we get,

0x-26y=130

y=\frac { -130 }{ 26 } =-5

Substitute y-value in equation (1)

3x - 5y = 19

3x - 5(-5) = 19

3x + 25 = 19

3x = 19-25

3x = -6

x =-\frac{6}{3} =-2

Therefore, the values are x = -2; y = -5"
