Answer:

3x + 5y = 9 -----------(i)

3x + 2y = 4 -----------(ii)

Substract eq---(i) from eq---(ii).

3x + 2y = 4 ------(ii)

3x + 5y = 9 ------(i)

- - -

_________

0 - 3y = - 5

y = (5/3)

Substitute value of y in eq----(ii).

3x + 2y = 4

3x + 2×(5/3) = 4

3x + (10/3) = 4

3x = 4 × (3/10)

3x = 6/5

x = (6/5) × (1/3)

x = (2/5)

•°•, x = (2/5) y = (5/3)
