Step-by-step explanation:

-3x+6y=6

3x+7y=5

From equation (1),

y =\frac{ 6 + 3x }{6}  =  \frac{3(2 + x)}{6}  =  \frac{2 + x}{2}

Substituting the value of y in equation (2),

3x +  \frac{7(2 + x)}{2}  = 5 \\ 3x +  \frac{14 + 7x}{2}  = 5 \\  \frac{6x + 7x + 14}{2}  = 5 \\ 13x + 14 = 5 \times 2 \\ 13x = 10 - 14 \\ x =   \frac{ - 4}{13}

y =  \frac{2 + x}{2}  =  \frac{2 +  \frac{ - 4}{13} }{2}  =  \frac{ \frac{26 - 4}{13} }{2}  =  \frac{44}{13}
