3x^2-8x+2=0
use quadratic formula ,
x={-b+_root (b^2-4ac)}/2a
now,
x={8+_root (64-24)}/6
=(8-root40)/6 , (8+root40)/6

mysticd:
After first line write compare abovw above equation with ax^2+bx+c=0

3x^2 - 8x +2 = 0
(3x)^2 - [2.3x.(4/3)] + (4/3)^2 - (4/3)^2 + 2 = 0
[3x-(4/3)]^2 = (16/9) - 2
3x-(4/3) = √(-2/9)
3x = (√-2)/3 + (4/3)
x = (√-2+4)/9
Hence the zeroes of the quadratic equation are
x = [+(√-2)+4]/9 & x = [-(√-2)+40]/9
