Splitting the middle term,we get

=> 3x²-9x+4x-12=0

=> 3x(x-3)+4(x-3)=0

=> (x-3)(3x+4)=0

=> x-3=0 or 3x+4=0

=> x = 3 or 3x=-4

=> x=3 or x = -4/3

Therefore,

x=3 or x = -4/3
