\star\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Question:-}

  • Solve the equation 3 {x}^{2}  - 33x - 240 = 0

\star\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Solution:-}

3 {x}^{2}  - 33x - 240 = 0

 \implies \frac{3 {x}^{2}  - 33x - 240}{3}  =  \frac{0}{3}

 \implies  {x}^{2}  - 11x - 80 = 0

 \implies  {x}^{2}  - 16x  + 5x- 80 = 0

 \implies x(x - 16) - 5(x - 16) = 0

 \implies (x - 16)(x - 5) = 0

Therefore,

x - 16 = 0

 \implies  x = 16

Also,

x - 5 = 0

 \implies x = 5
