(3xy + 5y) + (xy - 2y)
= 3xy + 5y + xy - 2y
= 3xy + xy + 5y - 2y
= (3+1)xy + (5-2)y
= 4xy + 3y
Since there are two terms, it is a binomial.
= 3xy + 5y + xy - 2y
= 3xy + xy + 5y - 2y
= (3+1)xy + (5-2)y
= 4xy + 3y
Since there are two terms, it is a binomial.
