Answer :

(0,3)

Solution :

Here ,

The given system of linear equations is :

3y - 2x = 9 -----(1)

2x + 5y = 15 ------(2)

Now ,

Adding eq-(1) and (2) , we get ;

=> 3y - 2x + 2x + 5y = 9 + 15

=> 8y = 24

=> y = 24/8

=> y = 3

Now ,

Putting y = 3 in eq-(2) , we get ;

=> 2x + 5y = 15

=> 2x + 5•3 = 15

=> 2x + 15 = 15

=> 2x = 15 - 15

=> 2x = 0

=> x = 0/2

=> x = 0

Hence ,

The required solution is (0,3) .

Answer:

Given :-

◪ 3y - 2x = 9

◪ 2x + 5y = 15

To Find :-

  • What is the value of x and y

Solution :-

Given equation :

3y - 2x = 9 ...... equation no (1)

2x + 5y = 15 ....... equation no (2)

By adding the equation no (1) and (2) we get,

⇒ 3y - 2x + 2x + 5y = 9 + 15

⇒ - 2x + 2x + 3y + 5y = 24

⇒ 3y + 5y = 24

⇒ 8y = 24

⇒ y = \dfrac{\cancel{24}}{\cancel{8}}

y = 3

Now, by putting y = 3 in the equation no (1) we get,

↦ 3y - 2x = 9

↦ 3(3) - 2x = 9

↦ 9 - 2x = 9

↦ - 2x = 9 - 9

↦ - 2x = 0

↦ x = \dfrac{\cancel{0}}{\cancel{- 2}}

x = 0

Hence, the value of x is 0 and the value of y is 3.
